Marskramer path – Stage 18
The Marskramer path is a walking route straight through the Netherlands. The staring point is the German village of Bad Bentheim, just across the border at Oldenzaal and terminates at Scheveningen. The total length of the route is 360 km, divided into 20 stages. A beautiful route to discover the Netherlands, and also our municipality. Stage 18 will take you through three villages in Kaag & Braassem; Rijnsaterwoude, Woubrugge, and Hoogmade.
The stages vary between 12 and 25 km. Stage 18 is 21.7 km. It starts at the ‘Herenweg’ in Rijnsaterwoude and at the end of the walk you will are at the ‘Plantage’ in Leiden.
Type: Long distance walking path
Characteristics: Rivers, and canals, lakes, fens, urban, farmland. Signposted.
Braasemermeer and Wijde Aa offer you beautiful vistas across the water. It’s good walking along the shores, with birds and shining clouds flying on and off. The tight lots disappear in the distance when you walk along the towpath of the ‘Kromme Rijn’ towards Leiderdorp and Leiden.
