Wetering
Wetering
De Wetering winds its way through the characteristic landscape of Oude Wetering in Kaag en Braassem and connects various villages and boating areas. This atmospheric waterway offers a varied journey past bridges, historic buildings, and a recreational bank.
Along the way, you experience tranquility while discovering a new view time and again. With a sloop, canoe, or SUP, De Wetering is a delightful route to explore the surroundings at a leisurely pace. A stop at a terrace or a walk through one of the villages completes the experience.
Every year, De Wetering is the setting for the Museum Harbour, which is rigged in October near the Augurkenpost for the Strontrace (a sailing trip from Workum to Warmond and back, where participants sail using wind and manpower). Many monumental ships can be admired in the harbour during those days.
