Heritage of routes, networks and connections

The theme ‘En route’ of the national organisation is a very good reason to hit the road to all villages in Kaag & Braassem. You can cycle the Eleven Villages tour on Saturday and Sunday or go en route and visit our mills. Especially during our Mill night, whether you walk, cycle or sail you can discover the illuminated mills of Kaag & Braassem. To make an extra connection, the neighboring municipality of Leiderdorp also puts a spotlight on four of their mills.

Our mills in Kaag & Braassem deserve to be in the spotlight. During the Mill night on Saturday 14 September 2024, we will actually take care of that. At a number of mills, special events are organized. For more information, visit our Mill night page.

Cycle the Eleven villages tour - September 14 and 15, 10.00-16.00 o'clock

We will guide our visitors by bike with an Eleven villages tour along the monuments. A connection tour: The eleven villages of Kaag & Braassem connected to each other via a route. How fun is it to see something interesting in each village? Don’t forget to collect your stamp at one of the monuments. (one stamp per village, we will give you Nieuwe Wetering). Six stamps on your card will give you a coffee-voucher.
