Wijde Aa Route
The Wijde Aa is a long small lake in the municipality of Kaag & Braassem, in the North of South Holland. On the east side it runs to the three-forked waterway of Woudwetering and Paddegat (Braassemermeer), north of the village of Woudbrugge. On the west side, the Wijde Aa runs to the Kromme Does in Hoogmade.
The Wijde Aa connect Leiden with the Braassmermeer .This small lake is a popular bathing place during Summer and has a small beach. As from 1958, the sailing school ‘de Wijde Aa’ is established in and around the historical Veendermolen.
